I am currently a Master’s student in the Integrative Neuroscience program at the Otto-von-Guericke University here in Magdeburg. Before that, I completed my Bachelor degree in Neuroscience with Psychology at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland). My master thesis project is about autophagy induction in a mouse model of chronic amygdala activation. I also want to study if autophagy can be modulated by fear conditioning in different contexts. Moreover, I investigate whether unpredictable stress in adult mice induces autophagy to the same extent as chronically enhanced amygdala activity. The methods I use include behavioral paradigms and immunostaining of brain slices.
