I am doctoral candidate since August 2021. My background is in Biotechnology and Neuroscience. Hippocampal memory is modulated by the circadian rhythm and it is implicated that orexinergic signalling mediates this process. I study how circadian strain affects the size of hippocampal memory engrams, engram components and intracellular signalling. Also, I investigate the role of orexinergic signalling in this regard. I use viral, pharmacological interventions and behaviour characterization to understand circadian and orexinergic modulation of hippocampal microcircuit. I also use protein and RNA studies to dissect the intracellular signalling mechanisms behind this modulation.
